NEC Group Conventions Unveil All-Female Sales Leadership Team

NEC Group Conventions, based at ICC Birmingham, NEC Birmingham and the Vox Conference Venue, has announced a newly restructured, all-female sales leadership team, following strategic investment into its sales operations.

The team is now organised into three specialist divisions:

  • New Business – Agencies, led by Kelly Moore, who brings nearly 20 years of experience with the NEC Group, will manage and nurture relationships with some of the team’s largest agencies, venue finders, and production companies.
  • New Business – Corporates, headed by recent hire Helen Wheatley, who has over 20 years’ experience in the events industry, specialises in full-service event production, ideation and creativity.
  • Account Management, overseen by Becky Bohemia, who ensures a seamless experience for existing clients. Becky has been with the NEC Group for nine years, taking on various roles in account management for the conventions team.

This structure allows the team to focus more precisely on key market areas, particularly recognising the pivotal role of event agencies in the conventions industry.

Andy Gibb, Managing Director of Conventions at the NEC Group, said: “Since joining the business last year, I saw a clear opportunity to create a dedicated new business team for agencies – and Kelly, with 19 years of experience in the Group, is the perfect person to lead it, given her knowledge and experience in this space.

“We’re also delighted to welcome Helen Wheatley to the team. Her expertise is already proving invaluable. Combined with Becky’s strong client stewardship, this leadership team sets us up for continued success.”

The team will be showcasing the NEC Group’s three flexible, best-connected and unique venues across Birmingham at The Meetings Show on 25th-26th June 2025, on stand E71.
