NEC Campus news

The NEC campus is undergoing some new openings and future plans...

Resorts World has opened a huge new £2.4m Hollywood Bowl entertainment complex including a 17-lane bowling alley and American diner, complete with arcade games and plenty of fun for visitors.

Jason Kirsch, Resorts World Operations Director, commented: “Welcoming Hollywood Bowl to Resorts World forms part of our strategy to further strengthen our leisure offer. Resorts World sits within the UK’s premier destination for exhibitions and events and this will add to the attraction and support the NEC Group’s proposed masterplan. To be home to the market leading bowling operator is a major component in providing our visitors with a wide ranging and first class entertainment experience. We are thrilled that Hollywood Bowl is joining us at Resorts World.”

An upgrade is also underway at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on the NEC Campus, which will see a renovation of the atrium and mixed-use areas.

The NEC also launched a long-term Masterplan for the site, which will see it develop a new grand plaza to redefine the area surrounding the NEC’s Atrium halls, enhancing the NEC visitor and organiser experience with a dynamic outdoor event space, cafes and restaurants plus a new hotel.

The plans are currently in the very early stages, with development to coincide with the arrival of the HS2 Interchange station.
