Premium event venue, the Vox, has delivered its first fully plant-based menu on behalf of client, Tropic Skincare.
The Tropic Skincare Conference, has been the first event to sample items from the Vox’s new comprehensive plant-based menu pack – carefully curated by Senior Head Chef, Aaron Johnson-Waters of Amadeus. The pack also contains wine and other beverage options, all of which vegan and ethically sourced.
Developing freshly made, cruelty-free products, Tropic Skincare uses innovative, effective and sustainably sourced ingredients that nature has to offer. The global brand therefore wanted to reflect its beliefs through its conference menu and provide delegates with a 100% plant-based menu.
The 472 day delegates were treated to a selection of tropical fruit smoothies, followed by sweet potato and spinach curry, deli hand-crafted ciabattas, beetroot cous cous, samosas and patties, followed by strawberry and balsamic mini salad pots. The dinner offering for 307 delegates was equally creative, with roasted butternut squash and artichoke filo tartlet to start, followed by plant-based mozzarella pie, and finished with a dark chocolate orange and torched orange salad.
Mark Charlampowicz, General Manager for Amadeus at the Vox said: “As dietary requirements change, we are a venue that adapts. For this conference we offered hot and cold plant-based options but kept them light for lunch, ensuring we satisfied delegate appetites without making them feel sluggish during conference. We could be a little more indulgent for the celebratory evening gala - you would never have believed we’d only used plant-based ingredients!”
Vox menus are all designed to be more than just taste; they take in additional sensory considerations such as sight, smell and touch with the final look and feel under the watchful eye of Johnson-Waters.
The event was run in partnership with independent events agency Pandora Events, who looked after logistics, event dressing and the menu requests on behalf of Tropic Skincare.
Carlton Connell, General Manager at Tropic Skincare concluded: “The catering team developed a stunning plant-based catering package for us – we were delighted with what was presented to us in our conference breakout. Leading into the evening menu, the offer was as equally delicious, with fantastic feedback from our delegates.
“There had clearly been great attention to detail, and no skimping on quality. This was our first time at the Vox having worked with the venue event and Amadeus team at sister NEC Group venue, the ICC in the city centre. We received the same level of exceptional service and would not hesitate to bring our conference back to the Vox in the future.”
