Looking forward to the return of events
The Government recently announced that event venues are permitted to reopen from 1st October 2020, and this is the news we’ve all been waiting for! This guidance allows us to plan for events and hopefully means we’ll be reopening the Vox in under 50 days’ time.
In preparation for this, we’ve been busy creating signage and mapping out the installation to ensure attendees adhere to social distancing and enhanced hygiene measures. Our Vox Venue Protect framework details how we’re creating a safe and controlled environment.
Vox Venue Protect is aligned with the AIM Secure guidance published by the MIA, as well as the All Secure Standard guidance published by the AEO. Both of these are now recognised as the Government backed best practice standards for the return of event activity.
In addition, we have also secured the ‘We’re Good To Go’ accreditation from VisitBritain, based on the measures we have detailed and will be implementing prior to the events industry reopening date. This accreditation provides another level of assurance to everyone visiting the Vox that they will have a safe and enjoyable experience.
We understand future events may have a very different look and feel to how they used to and, as such, we have enhanced our virtual event offering. Organisers and audiences are considering the best use of technology to maximise their event experience and our hybrid event services can help create the perfect event for the ‘new normal’. Our hybrid solutions can be adapted to suit individual event requirements and broadcast to audiences far and wide.
While the Vox currently remains closed, Resorts World has reopened, with nearly all restaurants, entertainment spots and shops now open under appropriate health and safety measures. Elsewhere on the NEC Campus, The Bear Grylls Adventure has also recently reopened its doors to the public and welcomed special guest, Bear Grylls himself to the attraction a couple of weeks ago.
